That is the birth of the Bulid engine, after the release of the game.

Ken was the only kid who could compete with Carmack's genuine talent and work ethic.
Just by looking at his website and the body of work Ken has released it's obvious he's one of the very best. Contrary to Carmack he decided to venture a more educational career path. Legendary stuff for sure.
