Does this game need further explanation? I think not. This is a great variant on Doom, Heretic and Hexen from the same guys at Id. I played this game a lot at my university against some fellow students. It just rocks!

Getting sound to work!
To play this game you need DOSBox. the windows 95 variant is not working in XP. However to get the sound working in DOSBox you need to adjust the dosbox.conf file. Just set gus=true to gus=false. (Quake only works with soundblaster but does recognize the gus :S)

This was a blast via LAN - sometimes we nearly fell out of our chairs from laughter other times the battles would get quite "personal". Technically a masterpiece and immensely atmospheric too. The single player experience is good but it's multi-player capability, technical prowess and id's legendary momentum in the early 90ies make it a living testament of what kept a whole industry on its toes... wondering what would emerge next from the wizards of id.
