Frontier: Elite 2 is a Strategy game from 1993. Get it here.
Description
Elite was a good game and I was wondering when you could 'visit' the planets itself.
Well, Frontier was the answer after nearly 6 years. When I saw it I was perplexed. I think it was one of the first 'new' vector graphics games I saw. The gameplay of Frontier is in the beginning a bit confusing with the interface, but once you got used to it, it was very nice to play. The midi music is also quite alright, just as the first Elite. I never knew the goal of this kind of games, because you can explore and explore and explore. The 'sub'-quest where also quite alright.

Spent countless hours playing this on an Amiga all those years ago. It was quite literally endless and the freedom to do what you wanted was utterly ground breaking for the time. | |
