Once a game has been declared ABANDONED by the rights holder, it’s LEGAL to download for free. HOWEVER, if the rights are then purchased by SOMEBODY ELSE (in this case GOG) then the new owners can now charge for the use of the software, meaning it’s NO LONGER LEGAL to download for free.

Just because it is something is abadonware, doesn’t mean it’s legal to download for free. The company may still own the copyright, therefore making it piracy.

This game can still be bought retail. It ismply isn’t abandonware. However I agree after a decade it would be nice to see a little love fromt he distributers. We all know the developers arent getting there share any more.
