Description

You play a private detective which has to investigate an old abandoned mansion. The game itself has been very beautifully made. The whole game is in from the early 3D days, and you can see every polygon used $\":\)\"$ This is a third person viewed game. The shots are quite nice, because of the viewpoint and perspectives they have taken. Sometimes it can be irritating, because the shot turns to they other side of the room, while being in a little fight, with some weird monster.
I must say that the sound in this game is pretty good. In the intro you feel like you are really walking in a big mansion because of the sound of the footsteps, on stairs and in halls.
Run the game using the file "Alonecrk.com"
Dosbox is recommended.

One of the greatest of all times. I remember spending a lot of time with this one, partly mystified with the lovecraftian atmosphere. I remember having to look for my first walkthrough in a BBS to complete it!! I couldn’t beat the last scene. $\"^O^\"$

Found this when I was about nine or ten in 1999. I was scared to death by it! $\":\)\"$ Never got very far, just down stairs and then died.
