Andrew, the file you have is the game, but you will need to use software called DOSBox to play it. Most of the games on here were written to run under DOS, and won’t work in Windows. DOSBox is a bit like having a computer running DOS from within Windows. There are detailed instructions on how to get Carrier Command working under DOSBox available; just search for "glenn’s guides carrier" and you will find it.

played carrier command years ago. trying to get a copy to play on my laptop. tried to download but a zipped file with 161kb. how do i get a free copy??

I played this with Amiga 500, It take time to learn to play,But after you learn how it works,you may get a lot of fun

An action/stategy game of gathering resources and grabbing hold on islands.
Some bugs, but not crippling ones. Overall good game for those who like some carrier commanding, flying fighters, and steering amphibian vehicles. can be played as stretegy or as action game.. one of my favorites of all time. A new version has been announced for 2009
