In 1991 Catacomb 3-D was released by Softdisk and is now abandonware.
Description
This is the second 3D game by softdisk. And to be more specific, this is the first 3D game which uses mappings on the walls. The first (Hovertank 3D) had only one color on the walls.
In this game you dive in the catacombs (somewhere) where you see a lot of goblins to kill with your magic hand.
This is the first of the Catacomb trilogy.
I guess, those softdisk guys loved trilogies

The zip file doesn't contain the entire game. There is only a mystery executable called "juego" that does nothing.

Even though it’s only the first part, it feels like a full game (much as Wolfenstein 3D did).

Fun and scary! One of the first games I played as a kid and it’s a great one. Maybe better than Wolfenstein. |
