In 1984 Music Construction Set was released by Electronic Arts and is now abandonware.
Description
This a really really old music composer program for dos, made by Electronics Arts. Unfortunately the mouse is not working, though it seems it should work with mouse. Anyway you can compose your own music or load already made songs which are also included in this zip file.
You should run it using DOSBox. Make sure you mount the directory as drive A:
run the program with MCS.EXE.
to load a file just go to the diskette and type load 'name'.

The program uses a joystick for moving the pointer, though you can use the keyboard also. It does not support using a mouse since those were very uncommon to have at the time. | |
