Feel free to download Doom; it was published by id-Software in 1993.
Description
Do I need to say more? Doom is probably the most played 3D shooter in the beginning of the 90s. There is not much of a real story than to wipe out some unhuman creatures. Of course during the game you will get quite an arsenal of weapons, which no human can carry at one time, but hey, who cares. The ultimate gun is the BFG (Big Fat Gun) which evaporate any creature in the screen. It'll cost a lot of ammo!

Doom is still fun to day, to play from time to time. Mostly for nostalgia’s sake! ESPECIALLY if it was one of your first PC games.

Actually the godfather of all FPS is John Carmack of id-Software who coded Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM and Quake. He defined the FPS genre like no other developer.

One of the best games ever made. So much fun to solve the levels and blow everything to bits! DOOM may be the father of the modern FPS, but Wolfenstein 3D is the godfather.

Actually, I disagree with, er, anonymous. Wolfenstein is the father of FPS, in my opinion.

Doom is history. not the first fps shooter, but I think doom started the revolution of the first person shooters.

Doom is a great game, although I would say that Wolfenstein 3D is the father of FPS gaming. Doom brought FPS games to a new level, though. |
